lore time! - rasp suffers from a wastelander-based mental inhibition called year zero syndrome: a complete restart from his life. no memories, no interests, no personality, basically - although he does remember one thing pretty quickly (the language 'Nadsat' from the critically acclaimed horror novel a clockwork orange, look at the appendix here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:A_Clockwork_Orange). one symptom that is pretty much exclusive to him is his lack of facial expressions and emoting - although Casper tended to be fairly flat and blunt, rasp goes to a whole new level.

despite not showing reactions to stimuli (pain, emotion triggers, etc.), he DOES have emotions, and is extremely sensitive and empathetic, even if he doesn't fully understand. i've always seen this form of himself as more baby- not like he's a child, but he's a lot calmer and chilled out, although he does have a short fuse. because of his amnesia, however, he's forgotten his own homosexuality and his lack of religious views, meaning he'll have to go through a whole 'closeted devout' phase (brought on by a character i've never drawn on here named Marx) before realizing that he's rainbow and agnostic.
