Oliver Frankenstein (known publicly as Oliver Judas or Valentine Hasseldoerf) is a Swiss transgender man, age 54 - but his biological appearance is 19. You see, that is when turned vampires stop aging: he was 4ssaulted and bitten by a Welsh vampiric aristocrat named Idris Surriener at age 9 (yikes!) during a soiree he and his twin brother Viktor had attended under a guise of being maid- and butlerchildren. Yes, yes, THAT Viktor Frankenstein.
CHILDHOOD: Twins Valentine and Viktor were born to Usche Friztunschtein - the French widow of Swiss duke Hansel Friztunschtein - and Jochen Hasseldoerf - a young German scientist and the much younger fling of Usche. Jochen was not permitted to see the children, as Usche was horrified that she had been pregnant and feared her body would be ruined forever as a result. She died from su1c1de 2 years later, leaving Viktor and Valentine orphans (for all they knew). They were then sent to Germany from Switzerland (with a changed surname) and were placed in several different orphanages over the years - they were kicked out of them every 14 months or so, because Val was extremely tomboyish and prone to angry outbursts that ruined their normally calm and quiet demeanor. At exactly 4 months after Val's turning, they developed symptoms of tuberculosis and became primarily bedridden for the majority of their teenage years, using a crutch to support their weak body. Despite their illness, Val was incredibly intelligent and by the time they were 13, spoke Swiss, Dutch, Japanese, and Russian fluently and had studied the calls and flight patterns of over 3,000 types of birds, specializing in the Corvidae family (crows, blackbirds, jackdaws, etc). Viktor was also intelligent, but had more chances to be officially educated despite living on the streets of Berlin: after all, he was a man! He was healthy, too. This became a point of contention later on in the two siblings' relationship.
THE BREAKING POINT (age 16): There are three main problems that caused their divorce as brother and brother (Val will now be referred to as Oliver).
1) Viktor had gone to a brothel with some of his friends and left Oliver, who had been particularly ill because of a flu going around that winter, and had come back drunk;
2) Viktor had been jealous of Oliver's scientific genius and had brought some of O's machine inventions to the school he had been tutored in during that time, bringing him some fame as a mechanical marvel, which rightly angered Oliver;
and 3) Oliver had, simply, come out as transgender - although this fact had been overshadowed by the fact that he had been ousted as a vampire after Viktor caught him drinking the blood of a passed-out rich drunkard on the street corner (what can I say? boy was hungie).
These three facts caused Oliver to run away from his 'home' to pursue a career in . . . nothing, I guess?
OOPS: Oliver was captured by a travelling water-circus after being spotted transforming from raven form into humanoid form.
