Based on a real event. My boyfriend at the time (in this picture they are both girls and one is black because that's just how I drew it) had his hand resting on his thigh, and I also had mine on my thigh. I wondered if I should rest my hand on his, and ended up doing it. It was awkward, but I kept it there for a while before removing it. Since then I learned he doesn't like physical affection so I stopped hugging him too, and I broke up with him shortly after because of various reasons, including that I wanted to be able to hug my partner and hold their hand.
