Backstory: Lucian, Ezer's ex best friend was jealous of Ezer's success and recognition. Lucian had been working thrice as hard as Ezer and despite that, he didn't get the attention he deserved. This resulted in Lucian thinking that Ezer was trying to steal the limelight from him. Fearing that Ezer would continue to strive while Lucian was slowly falling apart, Lucian cursed Ezer into the horrid, disgusting creature you see him as right now.
