He had nothing to do at home because he was often beaten there, and he spent most of his time outside, where he began experimenting on insects. Then, as a teenager, he stole drugs from his parents, which he then used himself, while simultaneously continuing to experiment on small animals like frogs. He was still beaten at home. And all of this ruined his childhood and his future.
