You guys probably weren’t expecting this. Or maybe you were. I don’t know. But what I do know is… I will be quitting. Why? I don’t really know. There’s a lot of reasons. One of them is because I have exams coming up, and I can’t have this as a distraction. So there. Number one. Another one is, a sense of me feeling uncomfortable. I’ve been on this site for at least 8 months, but I’ve been introduced to things I probably should have seen. But that’s the internet, right? Yep, anything can happen. Every time there’s drama, or something’s up, I don’t even know what to do or feel. And the cussing. So much cussing. Didn’t feel good with that either to be honest. But I can’t stop you. Do whatever you want. I’ve also had a lack of belonging here. I’ve made a lot of friends, but… I just feel so different. I look at my past art, when I first started, and I think: (How did people welcome me into this site, despite my crusty art skills back then??) But you guys were so kind. And I appreciate that. Those were the downs, but here are the ups. I’ve made a LOT of friends on here, and each one made me think I was better and my art CAN improve. And it did. Thanks to you all. And when I was feeling down, this site gave me a place to share my feelings and pick back up again. Thank you. “But Gen, when will you be back?” Who knows. I could be back tomorrow. Or next year. Who knows. I certain don’t. “But Gen, will you EVER come back?” Someday. Just not right now. I’ve got a lot on my mind, and I think this is the best step for me right now, and for future decisions. I can’t thank you all enough for your grace and kindness for as long as I’ve been here. I will say though, it’s possible that I MIGHT join a Talky, or a WBF. But not guaranteed. Again, thank you all for supporting me in this journey, and I will never forget your efforts to help me, and support me with my art.
