hey catshifter, I see you're going for a more "realist" style I guess, so hopefully these tips help

- get photo reference from animals like dogs, wolves, cats, etc.
- I swear, watch a warrior cats AMV, MAP, or animation meme. it will help so much trust
- note the overall shape of an animal's hind legs(EX: look up a picture of a cat jumping and make out the basic lines of proportion in the leg)
- look at pictures of fursuits/furry art/commission art. trust

these all totally helped me but use whatever techniques you want!!! *shrug* 乁| ･〰･ |ㄏ
